Bill Gelbaugh – Chief Executive Officer
Bill Gelbaugh

Bill Gelbaugh brings to The Contrado Group over thirty years of technical and graphic background and is responsible for having developed a number of specialized technical and marketing services for the homebuilding industry. Over the years, Bill has managed the development of design review exhibits, online catalogs, electronic bids, sales office display, marketing materials and interactive sales tools.

As CEO of The Contrado Group, Bill is focused on… the Strategic direction of The Contrado Group and its divisions Aterra Lighting and Outhouse, LLC. The Contrado Group is focused on a new (IPM) Integrated Process Management business model that will provide an open architecture to create key Strategic Partnerships and become a leader in the use of new technologies. Our goal is to create a dynamic leadership team and business model that will enable us to respond to the current ever evolving market faster and more successfully than the competition.

Paul Salmonson, LC, LEED, A.P. – Executive V.P. of Sales and Marketing
Paul Salmonson

Since 1999, Paul Salmonson has served as co-owner and President of Aterra Lighting Design & Controls, and in 2009 launched a new division, Aterra Designs. The Aterra Lighting & Controls Division specializes in custom and second+ move-up homes interior and exterior lighting and electrical design with notable clients such as Toll Brothers and Ritz Carlton. It became apparent to Salmonson in 2008 that the market was shifting; therefore, he got to work researching new market opportunities. He realized the demands of the production homebuyers for digital technologies in the home were on the rise. With this new opportunity for growth, he designed and launched Aterra Designs in 2009, a division offering home builders a program sales services of technical options featuring packaged based solutions for new homeowners.

Known as a visionary to many, Salmonson brings to the table extensive experience in wholesale distribution marketing, sales, and supply chain logistics during his successful tenure with a national eyewear company. Utilizing his theatrical lighting background, and a degree in Business Administration/Finance from Oregon State University, Salmonson believes lighting can transform any home or structure. His vision for Aterra Designs is to offer a cost-effective approach to better lighting design, energy management, and optimize technical option sales for production home builders today and into the future.

His support of industry organizations is vast to include being a founding member of the Southwest Construction Leads Group (CLG) , Illumination Engineering Society, United States Green Building Council, National Association Home Builders /Home Technology Alliance, and more.

In addition to his dedication and achievements at Aterra Lighting Design & Controls, Aterra Designs; and now, The Contrado Group, Salmonson is committed to his family and community.

Stuart Platt – Executive V.P. of Operations
Stuart Platt

Stuart Platt brings clients more than 18 years of professional experience in residential, restaurant, retail and commercial architecture services through AutoCAD and BIM. Known in the industry for his attention to detail, he possesses a wealth of industry experience and has produced construction documents for everything from small production homes to 50,000 sq. ft. custom homes to Pacific Sunwear's and Planet Hollywood restaurants across the United States and Europe.

As Executive V.P. of Operations of The Contrado Group, Stuart's primary focus is about quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. To achieve this, Stuart is regularly implementing the latest technology with the company's integrated services and processes. The entire team practices strict quality control programs to assure the highest quality and accuracy of finished products. Additionally, the company is always checking and adjusting our processes to anticipate and meet the demands of the industry and our customers.

In prior years, Stuart worked as a project manager for Associates in Architecture and Design (AAD) managing multiple projects across 48 states. He also spent 1994 and 1995 living and working in London, England managing the UK branch of AAD.
